In order to further promote the cultural tourism brand of Liaocheng and enhance the influence of the cultural tourism brand of “Jiangbei Water City • Ancient Canal City”, the “Yellow River and Grand Canal Meet in Zhengzhou” A River Runs By My Doorstep 2023 Liaocheng (Zhengzhou) Urban Cultural Tourism Dialogue was held in Zhengzhou on April 18. Li Guiling, Head of Zhengzhou Cultural Center, Liu Aixin, Member of the Leading Party Members Group and Deputy Director-General of Liaocheng Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, Zhao Meng, Staff Member of the Promotion and Cooperation Exchange Department of Zhengzhou Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, TV and Tourism, and Yu Kongchun, Section Chief of the Market Promotion Section of Liaocheng Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, attended the promotional activity.

In her speech, Li Guiling introduced that Zhengzhou is located in the heartland of China and is a historic and cultural city, an excellent tourist city in China, and a national civilized city. In recent years, Zhengzhou has strengthened its “Three Awarenesses” (benchmarks in our work, standards in our implementation, and milestones in our accomplishments) and deepened the “Ten Strategies” (innovation-driven, science and education-driven, and talent-driven strategy, advantage-reconstruction strategy, digital transformation strategy, lane-change leading strategy, cultural and tourism integration strategy, human-centered new urbanization strategy, rural revitalization strategy, green and low-carbon transformation strategy, institutional opening-up strategy, and comprehensive deepening reform strategy), taking its cultural and tourism development to a new level.

Liu Aixin introduced that Liaocheng and Zhengzhou are both cities along the Yellow River, and they are both responsible for the ecological protection and high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin. In recent years, Liaocheng has deeply integrated into the ecological protection and high-quality development of the Yellow River Basin and the major strategy of the Grand Canal National Cultural Park. By benchmarking first-class city models and formulating comprehensive tourism plans, it aims to promote the construction of the national cultural park (Liaocheng section) at a high level and strive to build itself into an attractive urban area known as “Jiangbei Water City · Pearl on the Yellow River and the Grand Canal”. With the opening of the Jinan-Zhengzhou high-speed railway by the end of this year, the distance between the two cities will be further shortened and the communication between the two places will become even closer.

Later, the tourism development groups of Dong’e County, Shenxian County, and Liaocheng held special promotion conferences around their tourism resources respectively.
