Uruguay Sends Good Wishes to Zhengzhou for a World-renowned Tourism Event

The four-day 2021 International Mayors’ Forum on Tourism in Zhengzhou, China will be held from April 20 to 23.

The forum has always received much attention from the international tourism industry and international tourism cities, and its high-quality content has made each session widely praised. The 2021 session will focus on "competitiveness of urban tourism from market prosperity and technological innovation", during which elites from the global tourism industry and officials from tourism departments in major tourist countries will be invited to Zhengzhou to discuss the important role of global tourism in driving economic recovery in the post-epidemic era.

During the forum, several exciting tourism city summits, symposiums and virtual travel fairs of international tourism cities will be held, aiming to bring together the wisdom of mayors of global tourism cities and authoritative international organizations to explore the infinite possibilities of sustainable development of global tourism in the future, and to promote tourism investment and cooperation among these cities.

Recently, Fernando Lugris, Uruguay's Ambassador to China, sent a congratulatory letter to Zhengzhou, wishing on behalf of Uruguay the success of the 2021 International Mayor's Forum on Tourism in Zhengzhou.

He said Uruguay, as a major tourist country, would welcome Chinese tourists to visit after the epidemic. He believed that tourism played a pivotal role in the recovery of the global economy and hoped that the relevant departments of both countries could work together to achieve this goal. He expressed high recognition for the Chinese government's control of the epidemic, while expressing his deep hope that the world would soon reopen its borders and revive tourism. Uruguay has always attached great importance to the cooperation with Zhengzhou, and also confirms the communications over tourism with Zhengzhou in the near future. It's hoped that the two countries will have more exchanges in tourism in the future and contribute to the global tourism industry together.
