The First Anniversary for the New Site of Zhengzhou Art Museum

On October 25, 2020, the new Zhengzhou Art Museum opened to the public. Over the past year, adhering to the concept of "openness and integration, cultural heritage, academic forerunner, dialogue and comparison", the museum has cooperated with excellent art institutions all over China, such as National Art Museum of China (NAMOC), Art Museum of Central Academy of Fine Arts, Tsinghua University Art Museum, Xiling Seal Engraver’s Society, Henan Seal Art Association and Zunyi Art Museum, to launch 30 splendid "art feasts" together with famous calligrapher Li Gangtian, oil painters Duan Zhengqu, Wang Keju and other outstanding domestic artists, attracting about 650,000 audiences and more than 700 teams to enter the art museum to enjoy the beauty of art.

In addition to the opening exhibition, around the theme of celebrating the centenary of the Communist Party of China, Zhengzhou Art Museum, together with the National Art Museum of China (NAMOC) and Tsinghua University Art Museum, launched the Yellow River cultural theme "Prosperous Yellow River--Special Invitational Exhibition Featuring Yellow River Culture and Art for Celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the Founding of the Communist Party of China at Zhengzhou Art Museum ".

In addition, Zhengzhou Art Museum has independently planned the exhibition brand of "One Mountain (Songshan Mountain) and One River (Yellow River)" with regional characteristics, systematically displaying the artistic style of the new and old art forces of Zhengzhou Fine Art Institute and spreading new ideas from generation to generation. In March this year, the patriotic theme exhibition "Hundred-year Journey, Beautiful Zunyi-Exhibition of Patriotic Theme Works Collected by Zunyi Art Museum" was launched in cooperation with Zunyi Art Museum, attracted 260 groups of people to enter the museum to for the education and study of party history.

In December 2020, the "Yellow River Cultural Aesthetics Creation Research Base" was established in Ruida Hall of Zhengzhou Art Museum. Eight calligraphers and painters of Zhengzhou Fine Art Institute displayed the splendid Yellow River culture and endless national spirit with paintings and calligraphy works.

According to statistics, in the past year, in addition to holding 17 academic exchange activities, the museum has also built a collection system with unique local Yellow River cultural characteristics, with a total collection of 194 items such as calligraphy, painting, rubbings and sculptures. In addition, colorful aesthetic education classes were launched for the public, and 95 online and offline activities were held.
