The Phase 2 of Metro Line 1 Is Closer to Completion Before the Spring Festival

A recent integration test has been conducted on the signaling system of the Phase 2 of Metro Line 1 which saw a successful connection with the communication-based train control (CBTC) system. The integration marks that automatic train operation (ATO) has become a reality which lays a solid foundation for the following trial operation.
Successful connection with existing railway control system
The signaling system plays an important role in directing railway traffic and train scheduling. To connect and integrate with existing railway control systems, the signaling system of the Phase 2 of Metro Line 1 must be installed, debugged and tested before trial operation. The successful connection of the signaling system of Phase 2, Line 1 with CBTC marks that the automatic train operation has become available for the new project, just as the in-service Phase 1, Line 1.
A solid foundation for trial operation before the Spring Festival
For a newly-built metro line, a strict check and valuation on service conditions must be conducted before trial operation. In fact, the integration of the signaling system is only one of many prerequisites of trial operation. In the following month, a series of other systems will be integrated, further bringing into reality the trial operation before the Spring Festival.
