Du Jiang is the first secretary of Yanglin Village, Xuzhuang Town, Dengfeng, dispatched by Zhengzhou Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television & Tourism. These years, Yanglin Village vigorously develops rural tourism, relying on its rich green resources, sites and heritage related to the history of the CPC, and unique ancient village culture. It boasts Daxiongshan Xianren Valley Scenic Spot and Daxiongshan Zhaixinglou Scenic Spot, two A-level scenic areas, so it becomes one of the few administrative villages in the province with two scenic spots, developing fast.

Supported by Zhengzhou Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television & Tourism, the team assigned by the bureau proposed and took the lead in the construction of an educational center for Party members to strengthen the education of Party members as farmers, bring grass-roots Party organizations' guidance into full play under rural revitalization, and further encourage Party members in the causes, while increasing villagers' earnings.

On the morning of December 15, the educational center for Party members in Yanglin Village, Xuzhuang Town, Dengfeng, was opened to the public and welcomed its first visitors, a team led by Wu Yan, Party secretary of Xuzhuang Town, comprised of officials from the town government and representatives from grass-roots Party organizations of various villages. Du Jiang said, "Adhering to Party construction and rural revitalization and based on practicalities, the general Party branch will continue to collect physical exhibits that show the history of the CPC, the history of the district, and the local folk culture to enrich the exhibition hall."

Educational Center for Party Members in Yanglin Village

The educational center is located at the Wang's Ancestral Temple in the village. In 1945, it was occupied by the Western Henan Anti-Japanese Military and Political Cadre School. With an ancient style, the educational center is mainly divided into three exhibition areas, namely the history of the CPC, the record of Yanglin Village, and the history and conditions of Yanglin Village, displaying the village's revolutionary history, organizations, people with lofty ideals, and customs. The exhibition area with the theme of the history and conditions of Yanglin Village has three parts, namely the outline of Yanglin Village, the historical sites, and the local culture. Relying on the CPC culture, this area shows important conditions of Yanglin Village and displays features of the village, matching and complementing the exhibition area with the theme of the history of the CPC, highlighting the functions of publicity and education, and building a base of ideological education.

Over the past six months, the team has compiled village history materials with more than 20,000 Chinese characters by consulting the Records for Dengfeng County and the Records for Xuzhuang Village and visiting relevant sites. At the same time, the team has discovered little-known historical stories and stories of county sages. Centering around the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression in western Henan, the team members display the village history and local stories in the exhibition hall based on lots of materials they gathered related to revolutionary history, integrating village history and revolutionary history which complement each other. In this way, they animate the revolution-themed historical building, innovate Party history education, better tell Yanglin Village's stories, carry forward the revolutionary spirit, and stimulate Party members' enthusiasm for work.

Besides, the educational center will be integrated with the site of the headquarters for the South Wang Mountain breakout war of the advance detachment of the Eighth Route Army in western Henan during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression. During the extension of Henan (Western Henan) Resistance Base Memorial Hall, the educational center will further enhance its educational function and continue to enrich the rural tourism related to the history of the CPC on the basis of the Wang Mountain breakout war tourist routes under development, thus to maximize the role of the tourism industry in driving rural revitalization.
