In addition to the Shaolin Temple of Songshan Mountain in Dengfeng, Zhengzhou, there are two scenic spots in Zhengzhou that will implement the price reduction policy from October 1st.

Shaolin Temple of Songshan Mountain

The ticket price of Shaolin Temple of Songshan Mountain Scenic Spot has been reduced from RMB 100/person-time to RMB 80/person-time.

The Shaolin Temple of Songshan Mountain was built by Emperor Xiaowen of the Northern Wei Dynasty for the Indian monk Buddhabhadra. The temple was built in the depth of the forest on the Shaoshi Mountain, so it was named with “Shaolin Temple”. Buddhabhadra was the first eminent monk to come to the Shaolin Temple. Later, Bodhidharma crossed the Yangtze River with a reed and came to Songshan Mountain. After nine-year of meditation in a cave on Wu Ru Peak behind the Shaolin Temple, he was revered as the ancestor of Zen Buddhism, and Shaolin Temple was also called the “Ancestral Temple of Zen Buddhism”. Shaolin Temple is not only the birthplace of Zen Buddhism, but also the birthplace of Chinese Kung Fu. It is known as the “Ancestral Temple of Zen Buddhism & Holy Land of Kung Fu”.

Huancui Valley Scenic Area in Xingyang City

From October 1st, the ticket price of Huancui Valley Scenic Area will be lowered from the current RMB 45/person-time to RMB 30/person-time. From October 1st, 2018, Huancui Valley will implement the “One-Entrance-Ticket System” for ticket price, reducing ticket price from the current RMB 45/person-time to RMB 30/person-time.

Huancui Valley Scenic Area: Located in Miaozi Village, Xingyang City, 40 kilometers way from the southwest of Zhengzhou City, Henan Province, the Huancui Valley Scenic Area is a comprehensive scenic area with natural landscape as the subject, ancient castle as the characteristic, thousand-year cave flower as an attraction, red culture, Xianxiao culture and Leizu culture as the background, integrating sightseeing tourism, leisure vacation and camping adventure. With well-known scenic spots such as Xinghua Village, Longxi Palace, Shuanglong Grand Canyon, Wolong Platform, and base hospital of Eighth Route Army, it is now a key scenic spot in Henan Province and one of the Top Ten Excellent Scenic Spots in Zhengzhou.

Since October 1st, 2018, the price of the full-price ticket in the park will be reduced from RMB 30 to RMB 20, and the half-price ticket will be reduced from RMB 15 to RMB 10. The annual card will remain the same price.

As a national 4A-rated tourist attraction, Zhengzhou Green Expo Garden has remained its ticket price unchanged according to the requirements of the Henan Province Development and Reform Commission since its opening in 2010. It is the first time to cut ticket price in the past eight years. This measure will truly benefit the public and enable more citizens to travel around during the upcoming National Day holiday.
