The 11th China (Zhengzhou) International Garden Expo Kicks off Today

At 9 o’clock today, the 11th China (Zhengzhou) International Garden Expo cosponsored by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of the People’s Republic of China and the People’s Government of Henan Province, was grandly opened in Zhengzhou Airport Economy Zone. The garden expo is themed as “lead green development and inherit Chinese civilization”. Occupying a total area of 119 hectares, the expo has 94 gardens involving the efforts of 74 domestic cities (including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan), 18 foreign cities and 2 international landscape architecture designers. The expo is said to be intensively displaying the design art of landscape architecture at home and abroad. On September 30, the garden expo was officially open to the public.

Traffic Control on Surrounding Roads during Passenger-Flow Rush Hours

Besides over 9,000 parking spaces in the Garden Expo, other temporary parking lots are added in the surrounding areas. When the parking lots are fully occupied during the extreme peak of passenger flow, surrounding road sections will be subject to temporary traffic control. Relying on the peripheral temporary parking lots set up on Binhe East Road and Sicun Road, tourists can be directed to park nearby, and take the feeder bus to go sightseeing in the garden.

During the passenger flow peak, surrounding road sections will be subject to traffic control, and 3 temporary parking lots will be set. On the occasion, buses of the Zhengzhou Airport Economic Zone will open up 3 emergency feeder lines, which will connect the parking lots and exhibition areas.

Emergency Feeder Line 1: from North Gate of the Garden Expo to Binhe East Road (East Side of Liangzhou Avenue), passing Lianshui Road, Yuanbo Road, Liangzhou Avenue, and Interchange Station of Binhe East Road.

Emergency Feeder Line 2: from South Gate of the Garden Expo to Sicun Road (East Side of Liangzhou Avenue), passing Yuanling Road, Sunwu Road, Interchange Station of Sicun Road, and Liangzhou Avenue.

Emergency Feeder Line 3: from South Gate of the Yuanling Ancient City Park to Binhe East Road (West Side of Liangzhou Avenue), passing Yuanling Road and Interchange Station of Binhe East Road.

Alternative Routes for Vehicles Passing through Zhengzhou during the Garden Expo

1. According to the actual situation of the Garden Expo, during the Golden Week of the National Day Holiday, the following roads will be regarded as the alternative routes for vehicles passing through Zhengzhou to minimize traffic pressure of main roads of Zhengzhou Airport Economic Zone in the holiday: Huaxia Avenue (Four Port Linkage Avenue) - Chaohu Road (Longzhong Highway) - Yongzhou Road (Zhenggang 4th Street) - Taihu Road (Zhenggang 3rd Road) - Maling Road (Yanming Road) - Liangzhou Avenue (Yanming Road) - S102 Provincial Highway - S223 Provincial Highway.

2. During the Golden Week of the National Day Holiday, all trucks are forbidden to drive on the Shuanghehu Toll Station and Xuedian Toll Station of Beijing - Hong Kong - Macao Expressway as well as the Garden Expo Toll Station of Shangqiu - Dengfeng Expressway from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. each day. If it is inevitable for some trucks to pass through the above mentioned stations to leave the expressway, they can detour to the Xinzheng Toll Station and the Nansanhuan (the 3rd Ring Road in the south) Toll Station of Beijing - Hong Kong - Macao Expressway.

Alternative Routes for Vehicles Touring in the Garden during Traffic Congestion

1. During traffic congestion on the Huaxia Avenue and northern area of Jinling Avenue, vehicles can detour the Shizu Road and Liangzhou Avenue.

2. When encountering with traffic congestion on the Huaxia Avenue and southern area of Jinling Avenue, vehicles can detour the Meihe Road, Zhiyang Road and Liangzhou Avenue; and when encountering with traffic congestion on the Liangzhou Avenue, vehicles can detour the Yuanling Road.

3. During traffic congestion on the Jinling Avenue and S102 Provincial Highway, vehicles can detour the Meihe Road, Yongzhou Road and Yuanling Road.

4. When encountering with traffic congestion on the Yuanling Road, vehicles can detour the Yongzhou Road, Meihe Road and Jinling Avenue.

Temporary Control on the Following Road Junctions during Massive Congestion in the Garden

During massive congestion in the garden, the following road junctions will be subject to traffic diversion so as to ease the traffic pressure of congestion areas.

1. Depending on the circumstances, the intersection of Xinzheng S102 Provincial Highway and the Century Avenue will be subject to temporary traffic control, during which vehicles are forbidden to drive eastward through the junction. Vehicles will be directed to detour the Century Avenue to drive southward.

2. Depending on the circumstances, the intersection of Xinzheng Renmin Road and Shenzhou Road will be subject to temporary traffic control, during which vehicles are forbidden to drive eastward through the junction. Vehicles will be directed to detour the Shenzhou Road to drive southward and northward.

3. Depending on the circumstances, the Exit of Xinzheng Toll Station of Beijing - Hong Kong - Macao Expressway (Yanhuang Avenue) will be subject to temporary traffic control, during which vehicles are forbidden to drive eastward on the Yanhuang Avenue after leaving the station. Vehicles will be directed to detour the Yanhuang Avenue to drive westward.

4. Depending on the circumstances, the fork road of S102 Provincial Highway and the New 107 National Highway will be subject to temporary traffic control, during which trucks are forbidden to drive westward through the junction. Trucks will be directed to detour the New 107 National Highway to drive northward or detour the New S102 Provincial Highway to drive eastward.

5. Depending on the circumstances, the intersection of Four Port Linkage Avenue and the 3rd Ring Road in the south will be subject to temporary traffic control and trucks are forbidden from passing through the junction to drive westward. Trucks will be directed to detour the Beijing - Hong Kong - Macao Expressway.

Routes for Smooth Sightseeing

During the sightseeing tour of the National Day Holiday, Zhengzhou Traffic Police remind the public of avoiding the peak time to go sightseeing, as well as parking and visiting orderly in accordance with the guidance. It is suggested to visit the garden by bus or metro, so as to ease the surrounding traffic pressure of the garden.

7 Routes for Driving to the Garden Expo

Route 1: Airport Toll Station - Yingbin Avenue - Huaxia Avenue - Y Shape Roundabout of the Old Management Committee - Xianggang Road - Xingang Avenue - Yuanling Road - South Gate of the Garden Expo.

Route 2: the Exit of Xuedian Station of Beijing - Hong Kong - Macao Expressway - Old S102 Provincial Highway - Jinling Avenue - Liangzhou Avenue - Yunaling Road - South Gate of the Garden Expo.

Route 3: the Exit of Shuanghehu Station of Beijing - Hong Kong - Macao Expressway - Zhiyang Road - Liangzhou Avenue - Yuanling Road - South Gate of the Garden Expo.

Route 4: underneath passing from Xinzheng Renmin Road to Beijing - Hong Kong - Macao Expressway - Donghai Road - Liangzhou Avenue - Yuanling Road - South Gate of the Garden Expo.

Route 5: the Exit of Xinzheng Station of Beijing - Hong Kong - Macao Expressway - Xinzheng Yanhuang Avenue - Nanhai Avenue - Huaxia Avenue - Xingang Avenue - Yuanling Road - South Gate of the Garden Expo.

Route 6: the Intersection of East Gateway of Experimental Plot, Old S102 Provincial Highway and Jinling Avenue - Jinling Avenue - Liangzhou Avenue - Yuanbo Road - North Gate of the Garden Expo.

Route 7: Departing from the downtown of Zhengzhou, if not choosing the expressway, vehicles can drive the East 4th Ring Road southward to enter the Four Port Linkage Avenue and Huaxia Avenue, and then drive on the Xianggang Road, Xingang Road and Yuanling Road to arrive at the Garden Expo.

2 Bus Routes to the Garden Expo Departing from the Downtown of Zhengzhou

The Customized Special Route 1 starts from Zijingshan and ends at the South Gate of Zhengzhou Garden Expo. Single Trip Distance: 55 km; Ticket Price: RMB 5

The nonstop Customized Special Route 2 starts from Zhengzhou Medical College and ends at the South Gate of Zhengzhou Garden Expo in high speed. Single Trip Distance: 50 km; Ticket Price: RMB 20; Service Time: 7:00 - 10:00 a.m. (departing from the downtown) and 15:00 - 18:00 p.m. (departing from the garden expo)

3 Special Bus Routes from the Airport Economy Zone to the Garden Expo, with the Ticket Price of RMB 1

Route 1: Shizu Road Bus Station - Zhengzhou Garden Expo, passing Shizu Road, Liangzhou Avenue and Zhengzhou Garden Expo. Single Trip Distance: 16.5 km.

Route 2: Terminal2 - Zhengzhou Garden Expo, passing Terminal2, Yingbin Avenue, Xingang Avenue, Jinling Avenue, Liangzhou Avenue and Zhengzhou Garden Expo. Single Trip Distance: 17.2 km.
