Songshan Scenic Area Shows Up on 2020 CITM

From November 16 to 18, the 2020 China International Travel Mart (CITM), co-sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Civil Aviation Administration of China and the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government, was held at the Shanghai New International Expo Center.

On this event, Henan’s cultural tourism booth adopts the design and style of Henan traditional residential courtyards that feature black bricks and gray tiles, cornices and arches. A fresh, warm impression of “hometown” is highlighted. Provincial key scenic areas, excellent tourism enterprises, and cultural and creative enterprises participated in the exhibition. Henan Cultural Tourism Booth showcased Henan’s characteristic performing arts and intangible cultural heritage among other cultural and tourism resources. Both rigid and flexible Tai Chi and Shaolin Kungfu performances added brilliance to Henan Cultural Tourism Booth, attracting the attention of domestic and foreign exhibitors. At the scene of CITM, Henan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism promoted Henan’s cultural tourism around the theme of “Encounter in Henan, China”. Songshan Scenic Area, as an international famous tourist attraction, joined the exhibition area of Henan Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism.

Songshan Scenic Area has profound cultural heritage and rich human resources. Particularly, its Shaolin Kungfu is world renowned. On this CITM, Songshan Scenic Area distributed more than 5,000 copies of publicity materials of all varieties, more than 400 copies of video discs, and more than 100 exquisite cultural creative gifts. Songshan’s brilliant history and culture and beautiful natural scenery were introduced to nearly 10,000 tourists from 71 countries. Domestic and foreign tourists are warmly welcomed to Songshan Scenic Area for sightseeing, cultural experience and kungfu practice. This promotion greatly enhanced the brand awareness and reputation of Songshan.

This CITM innovated a “cloud exhibition”, so that the event was held online and offline synchronously. In addition to bringing the public the latest high-quality cultural tourism products at home and abroad offline, this CITM adopted an innovative “cloud exhibition”, so that exhibitors could show broad audience at home and abroad in a multi-dimensional way their new cultural and tourism resources and products.
