A Documentary about Zhengzhou That Can Shoot to International Fame

On the afternoon of June 21, a seminar on the international communication of the full-length historical documentary The 3,000 Years of Three Cities on a 300-Li Land kicked off in Zhengzhou.

Wang Dongmei, Vice-President of China International Public Relations Association, Zhang Tongdao, Professor of the School of Arts and Media at Beijing Normal University, Ding Xiaoyu, an expert in urban development in China, and many other experts and scholars had a face-to-face exchange of ideas with the director of the documentary Sun Ning.

The 3,000 Years of Three Cities on a 300-Li Land is a full-length historical documentary directed by Sun Ning. It is a blow-by-blow account of the history of Zhengzhou, Kaifeng, and Luoyang, an in-depth study of the time-honored history and culture of the Central Plains, and an evaluation of the Yellow River Culture in the present era. The shooting of this documentary started in Zhengzhou on April 20, 2021. It is expected to premiere in September 2022.

According to the experts at the seminar, the story of Henan as the birthplace of Chinese civilization is justifiably a story of international impact. Zhengzhou, Kaifeng and Luoyang are three cities on the Yellow River that boast a long cultural and historical tradition, as well as many world-famous premium resources such as Kung Fu, the Shaolin Temple, peonies, Longmen Grottoes, and the Song-Dynasty Capital.
