Right before the National Day holiday, Zhang Jianmin, Vice Captain of the Seventh Brigade of the Zhengzhou Cultural Market Comprehensive Administrative Law Enforcement Detachment, and Wang Zilong, a member of the law enforcement agency, received the notification from Zhengzhou Copyright Bureau that they were awarded the national advanced unit and advanced individual for investigating and handling major infringement and piracy cases in 2020.

On the evening of May 6, 2020, the law enforcement officers of Zhengzhou Cultural Market Comprehensive Administrative Law Enforcement Detachment received a report that a large number of pirated books had been found in Erqianjia Logistics Center in the airport area. The seventh brigade immediately sent Zhang Jianmin and Wang Zilong to the crime scene.

They found a large number of pirated books on the delivery platform of the center. They immediately contacted the local public security department and temporarily confiscated the books in Zhenggang Police Station after consultation. On May 14 and June 12, the two batches of books were identified by the provincial quality inspection center as "publications without approval and in the name of publishing houses approved by the state". As a large number of books were involved, the seventh brigade handed over the case to the Airport District Branch of the Zhengzhou Municipal Public Security Bureau on June 1 and assisted in the investigation and evidence collection throughout the whole process.

Subsequently, Zhang Jianmin and Wang Zilong cooperated with public security personnel to investigate more than 20 townships in the province and seized more than 4,000 books of the same kind in Taikang and Luyi.

After days of waiting, the task force arrested suspects Du and Shi on June 20 and July 3. Investigations showed that more than 11,800 pirated books were found in this case, with a value of more than 100,000 yuan. In December 2020, Zhengzhou Municipal Intermediate People's Court sentenced criminal suspects Du and Shi to three years' imprisonment for copyright infringement, with a fine of 100,000 yuan and a seizure of more than 100,000 yuan of illicit money.
