Songshan Mountain

Songshan Mountain is among the first batches of national global geoparks, national scenic areas, national forest parks and cradles of Chinese civilization. Comprising Taishi Mountain and Shaoshi Mountain, Songshan Mountain is listed in the Five Mountains for its marvel, precipitousness, charm and enchantment. Junji Peak, the main peak of Songshan Mountain, has an altitude of 1,492 meters. Within the range of less than 20 square kilometers of Songshan Mountain, the relics of three geological conformation movements respectively dating back to 500 million, 1.8 billion and 2.5 billion years ago have still been distinctly reserved, continuously exposing the complete features of magmatic rocks, metamorphic rocks and sedimentary rock of Archaean and Proterozoic eon as well as Paleozoic, Mesozoic and Cenozoic Era. Thanks to that, it has won the laudatory title of a natural museum of geological history. There you can admire all sorts of flowers in spring, waterfall in summer and red leaves in autumn; and enjoy skiing in winter.
