On September 19th, He Jinping, Deputy Governor of the Henan Provincial Government, highly appraised the tourism work in Henan this year at the National All-For-One Tourism Holographic Information System Promotion Conference & Henan Pilot Construction Conference. He said that with gifted nature, influential brand and high reputation of tourism resources, and high political standpoint, progressing work of the provincial tourism system and strong development atmosphere of tourism entrepreneurship and innovation, the smart tourism in Henan has been laid a good development foundation.

The tourism in Zhengzhou has developed rapidly in in recent years. At the beginning of this year, with high page view on the Tik Tok, Zhengzhou surprisingly became an online sensation city and has attracted a large quantity of netizens. The electronic display screen at the Courtyard Marriott Hotel, the Erqi Memorial Tower, and the “Big Corn Building” (Qianxi Plaza) bordering Ruyi Lake have become the online sensation locations, attracting plenty of tourists from other cities to follow the trend. Many scenic spots in Zhengzhou actively responded to the call of national policy, lowered the ticket price, and strived to promote its own transformation and upgrading, gradually getting rid of the tickets economy, and to some extent, promoting the overall development of the tourism industry in Henan Province.

In addition, Zhengzhou is also the capital of Henan Province, one of the first batch of excellent tourism cities in China, a national historic and cultural city, one of China’s eight ancient capitals, the first destination and the first tourism-generating region in Henan.

From the perspective of national policies, in addition to Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Chongqing, the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development recently also issued official document to support the construction of national central cities in Chengdu, Wuhan, Zhengzhou and Xi’an, adding another driving force for the development of the tourism in Zhengzhou.
