The data is mainly from the CEIC database, National Bureau of Statistics, National Tourism Administration and Statistics Bulletin of the National Economic and Social Development of various cities and regions.

Beijing, Chongqing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Tianjin, Hangzhou, Chengdu, Wuhan, Suzhou, and Nanjing ranked among the Top 10 Tourism Cities of China. Two cities in Henan Province were rated as Tourism Cities, of which Zhengzhou ranked 24th and Luoyang ranked 36th.

It is worth noting that Zhengzhou didn’t make the list last year, while it entered the list for the first time this year and ranked 24th. Meanwhile, Luoyang dropped to the 36th this year from the 21st last year.

The tourism in Zhengzhou has developed rapidly in in recent years. At the beginning of this year, with high page view on the Tik Tok, Zhengzhou surprisingly became an online sensation city and has attracted a large quantity of netizens. The electronic display screen at the Courtyard Marriott Hotel, the Erqi Memorial Tower, and the “Big Corn Building” (Qianxi Plaza) bordering Ruyi Lake have become the online sensation locations, attracting plenty of tourists from other cities to follow the trend.
