On October 25 and 26, the 2023 "Central Plains Cultural Stage", sponsored by the Zhengzhou Municipal People's Government and organized by the Publicity Department of the CPC Zhengzhou Municipal Committee and the Zhengzhou Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism, will present the high-quality Henan Opera play created by the Zhengzhou Henan Opera Theater, Sons and Daughters of the Yellow River,  at the Grand Theater of Henan Art Center.

The Sons and Daughters of the Yellow River is a new production of the Zhengzhou Henan Opera Theater in 2021, which was selected as a large-scale stage play funded by the China National Arts Fund in 2022. The play features Wu Huixia, the third-generation inheritor of the Cui School of Henan Opera from the Zhengzhou Henan Opera Theater, as the leading actress, and stars Ren Sanyin and  Zhang Hailong, national first-class actors. Since its premiere in September 2022, the play has received high praise from experts and gained tremendous popularity among theater enthusiasts and audiences.
