On November 14, following the cultural and tourism promotion events in Luoyang, Kaifeng, and Jiaozuo, the Jiayuguan Cultural and Tourism (Henan) Promotion Conference themed on "Enjoying the Enchanting Scenery of Jiayuguan City and Meeting You in Henan Province" was wrapped up in Zhengzhou.

This conference, as one of the series of activities planned in 2023 for promoting Jiayuguan City's cultural and tourism sectors, aims to further enhance cultural and tourism exchanges and cooperation between Jiayuguan and Zhengzhou cities, comprehensively showcase the new facets and achievements of Jiayuguan in the integrated development of culture and tourism, and publicize its brand image as "the No. 1 Strategic Pass in the World." The conference is expected to further expand the city's tourism market in winter and spring and open a new chapter in the collaborative development of Jiayuguan and Henan in the cultural and tourism sectors.

Wang Jinting, Deputy Mayor of the Jiayuguan Municipal People's Government, said in her speech that "Jiayuguan, located at the western end of the Hexi Corridor in Gansu Province, is an emerging, modern industrial and tourism city. The city is famous for its history as a strategic pass and was established because of a renowned enterprise. As a remote city, it boasts unique tourism resources and a diverse array of cultural and tourism industrial formats. It represents a valuable tourist destination featuring a perfect blending of natural landscapes and cultural deposits."  "The purpose of holding this promotional conference in Zhengzhou is to enhance pragmatic cooperation between the two cities, broaden the channels of their cultural and tourism collaboration, promote two-way market flow, and jointly create a bright future for the collaborative development of Jiayuguan and Zhengzhou," she added.

"Cooperation and development opportunities between Jiayuguan and Zhengzhou are infinite," said Zhao Hengkang, Deputy Secretary-General of the Zhengzhou Municipal People's Government, in his speech. He hoped that through this promotional event, cultural and tourism exchanges between the two cities could be further strengthened, and more Zhengzhou residents would visit Jiayuguan to explore the "Greatest Pass Under Heaven" and try all-for-one tourism experiences.

Subsequently, witnessed by all the participating guests, representatives from the cultural and tourism departments, integrated media centers, tourism associations, and travel agencies of Jiayuguan and Zhengzhou respectively signed cooperation framework agreements. They expressed their determination to deepen bilateral cooperation in various aspects, including tourism route development and mutual delivery of customer sources. They promised to continuously stir up a tourism boom, and jointly advance the common development of both cities in the tourism sector for a bright future.

The successful holding of this conference has enabled more people from Henan and other regions of the country to understand, pay attention to, visit, and fall in love with Jiayuguan. It has resulted in the enhancement of the friendly relations between Zhengzhou and Jiayuguan, provided Jiayuguan with access to a larger cultural and tourism market, and fully ignited a tourism fever among guests nationwide to visit Jiayuguan.
