The Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers Film Festival will be held in Zhengzhou. In order to reveal the vitality of Zhengzhou in the construction of the national central city, show new forms of dance art in Central Plains, enrich people's spiritual and cultural life in Zhengzhou, and build an atmosphere for the 2020 Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers Film Festival (the 35th Hundred Flowers Award), the Publicity Department of the CPC Zhengzhou Municipal Committee, Zhengzhou Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, TV and Tourism, and Zhengzhou Federation of Literary and Art Circles will jointly hold the Square Dance Performance activity with Hundred Flowers Film Songs in mid-September in Ruyi Lake Square of Zhengdong New District.

This activity is part of a series of the 6th Mass Culture and Art Festival in Zhengzhou in 2020. It attracts great attention. From August, Zhengzhou Cultural Center and Zhengzhou Dancer Association have actively organized experts to study and discuss plans and put forward several reasonable suggestions and opinions. They decide to select original square dances with higher artistic levels and outstanding mass dance works that have won national, provincial and municipal awards based on film songs and music since the founding of the People's Republic of China and integrate them into an excellent culture resource pool.

After careful exploration and recommendation, 13 excellent dance works from universities and colleges and mass dance teams in Zhengzhou were selected, and they will officially attend the Square Dance Performance with Hundred Flowers Film Songs. Under the guidance of provincial and municipal dance experts, their costumes and performance skills have been improved significantly. At present, the 13 teams are in intense rehearsal.
