Digital Collections of “Three Towers of Eastern Han Dynasty” Authorized by Shaolin Temple of Songshan Mountain Launched, and “Digital Warrior Monks” Provided Free of Charge

At 13:00 on May 9, the collections co-created by Shaolin Temple of Songshan Mountain and digital collection platform “Shanhaijingcang” went on sale. The first digital collection is the Shaoshi Towers, the No.002 ancient architecture cultural relic protection unit, and only 10,000 copies were sold to customers. From May 6th to 9th, 2,000 copies of “Digital Warrior Monk Limited Editions” were provided to customers free of charge. Customers can participate in the activity via the WeChat account of “Shanhaijingcang”.

In order to allow more users to enjoy benefits, those who have completed real-name authentication before the sale will have the opportunity to get the “Digital Warrior Monk Special Editions”. There are only 2,000 copies of the special edition, which will not be increased or sold publicly. In addition, the users will get the hidden benefits presented by the platform. The list of winners will be announced after the event and the prizes will be distributed 5 working days later.

This is the first time “Shanhaijingcang” has sold its collections – the digital collections of the “Three Towers of the Eastern Han Dynasty”, which will be divided into three phases. The collections will be presented in the form of digital brick carving at a price of 9.9 yuan. At the same time, users who get the digital collections of the “Three Towers of the Eastern Han Dynasty” will get tickets for corresponding scenic areas, which will be valid for 10 years.

The number of the well-known Palace Museum in Beijing is No.53, but the Shaoshi Towers is the No.002 national cultural relic protection unit of ancient Chinese architecture, showing that it is of exceptional significance. The Shaoshi Towers represent a tradition in the millennia-long history of China with a special architectural form and artistic content – ancestral worship, one of the best examples of ritual architecture in ancient China.

The second phase is the Qimu Towers, the No.003 national cultural relic protection unit of ancient Chinese architecture. The carving art of the Qimu Towers holds a very significant place in the world’s stone carving history.

The third phase is the Taishi Towers, the No.001 national cultural relic protection unit of ancient Chinese architecture. The Taishi Towers consist of three parts, the base, body, and top. With the simple and deep artistic style, the form and content of the Taishi Towers are obviously referential to the study of the architectural history, art history and the society and history of the Eastern Han Dynasty.

Following the “Three Towers of the Eastern Han Dynasty”, Shaolin Temple of Songshan Mountain will join hands with “Shanhaijingcang” to regularly launch more collections, such as Songyue Temple Pagoda, the Tablet Inscriptions of Songyang Academy and the Ancient Eight Scenery Spots of Songshan Mountain. Please stay tuned!
