Naked-eye 3D Light Show to Display Cultural Elements of Ancient Shang Capital

As the New Year's Eve Cultural Festival kicks off on the evening of December 29, a range of activities, including a naked-eye 3D light show, a city wall light show, and a garden tour will be launched for visitors.

 

UAV New Year's Eve Show to Display the Charm of Ancient Shang Capital

This represents a fusion of modern technology with Shang culture, taking visitors on a wonderful journey through 3,600 years. At 21:00 on December 31, the UAV New Year's Eve Show will be presented in Zhengzhou Shang Capital National Archaeological Site Park.

 

Chinese-style New Year's Eve Concert to Display the Vitality of Ancient Shang Capital

From December 29 to January 4, a wide range of bands, electronic music DJs, and MC teams will bring performances and fun to citizens every day from 19:10 to 21:00 at Zhengzhou Shang City National Archaeological Park of China.

 

Six Themed Activities to Unfold the Essence and Beauty of Ancient Shang Capital

In addition to the aforementioned three major events, the New Year's Eve Cultural Festival includes six themed activities. These comprise a Hanfu garden tour, pop-up Dancing, exhibitions of creative products based on intangible cultural heritage items, and art toy markets.

 

City Wall Light Show

From December 29 to January 4, between 19:00 and 21:30, a dazzling city wall light show will take place along the southwestern and southeastern city walls of the Shang Dynasty City Wall Ruins. The array of beam lamps and laser lights is sure to electrify the entire audience!

 

Garden Tour in Hanfu

From December 29 to January 4, the Hanfu Garden Tour will take place in Zhengzhou Shang City National Archaeological Park of China and Zhengzhou Shangdu Cultural Center, running from 09:30 to 17:00 and 19:00 to 21:30.

 

Characteristic Parades

On December 31, from 09:30-17:00 and 19:00-21:30, characteristic parades will also be organized along Pingdeng Street and Shuncheng Street in the Guancheng Hui District.

 

Art Toy Markets

From December 29 to January 4, between 09:30-17:00 and 19:00-21:30, art toy markets will be hosted at locations including the Zhengzhou Shang City National Archaeological Park of China, Confucius Temple, Zhengzhou Shangdu Cultural Center, and Yinbin Square within the Zhengzhou Shang City National Archaeological Park of China.

 

Poetry Recitation

From December 29 to January 4, between 19:00 and 21:00, activities centered on the recitation and performance of ancient poetry will be held along the southwestern wall of the Zhengzhou Shang Dynasty City Wall Ruins.

 

Bell Strike for Good Luck

As the clock strikes midnight on January 1, 2024, a grand New Year bell-striking activity will take place at the Confucius Temple in Zhengzhou. Excellent songs and dancing will set the stage for the new year, complemented by the festive prayer walls. Amidst the resounding 108 strikes of the bell, prayers for peace throughout the four seasons, the prosperity of our homeland, and wishes for good fortune in the upcoming year will ascend toward heaven. Looking ahead, we are to embrace a year filled with possibilities and hope all wishes come true.
